Interesting day

So its true what they say that good or bad things come in three's. Today was one of those days. When I got home from work today, I wanted to take the kids for some desert to a crepe house. I had a groupon and wanted to use it. So we go and I cant find the restaurant. Come to find out, it is only around during farmers market days. Ok, that sucks. So next idea comes to my mind, lets go to the park. So we go. We are there for literally one minute when Julianna goes missing. I cant find her anywhere. I ask Tamara to look for her cause I am sitting down feeding the baby and she keeps coming back with a worried look on her face because she cant find Julianna. I get up and start scanning the playground, there is no Julianna. I start to feel that awful panic sensation inside, the sounds of the kids playing intensifies in my head, I start having bad thoughts and my vision starts to get blurry. I tell myself,"calm down, you will find her, she's ok". Then my other voice says "no, she may not be ok, this may be a bad thing". So I start pacing and looking every where. Tamara tells me "mommy, we lost her, we dont have 3 girls anymore, we just have 2". Her face is full of worry and my mind is full of bad thoughts. We start to walk back where we came from and there comes a mom with a crying Julianna. WHEW!!! What a relief! She said she didnt see me so she went back to where we came from. So I now feel a little better and tell them to go play, when all of a sudden I hear Tamara scream in pain. She is crying super loud and limping. What now?? I go to her and the bark from the playground poked through her shoes and stabber her toe. Her toe is bleeding pretty bad. UGH! I stop the bleeding but she is screaming that it hurts. She wants a bandaid. I luckily keep a first aid kit in my car and have lots of bandaids. I put on the bandaid and say THATS IT! Lets go home, I have had enough of bad luck today. So to make a long story short, this is the only picture of our playground experience. At least Karina didnt have any tramatic events happen to her.

Julianna starts Sunrise Preschool

So my sweet little Julianna has now started her summer preschool program at Sunrise preschool. This is the same school that Tamara attended. Julianna was so excited to start her new school. Her summer teacher is Miss. Coscarelli and Miss. Kaula. She did great on her first day. She just walked in and went straight to the Mr. Potato Head table, sooo cute. She is definitely an adorable little girl with a very cute personality.

Best friends

These girls have known each other since before they were born (is there such a thing?). Well they have. They started off with a rocky relationship where Tamara was the little bully but as time passed, they have developed such a special relationship. They love each other! It is so sweet to see. I cant wait to see their frienship/sisterhood grow!

Karina 8 months

I am 8 months old today. I am growing fast. I can crawl like a soldier (military crawl) but have started to get up on my knees. I am all over the living room and I am starting to pull myself up on things. I like to find things on the floor and put them in my mouth. My mom has had to take two things out of my mouth over the last 2 weeks. One was a metallic sticker that nearly choked me and another was a piece of foam for a craft that my sisters left on the floor. My family has to be very careful with me because I am very mischievious and like to get around. I still do not sleep through the night because I like to cuddle with my mom and keep her awake. She is very tired all the time but its worth it because we get to bond. I sleep in my crib in the same room with my sister Julianna but I end up in a playpen once I wake up in the middle of the night. My favorite time to wake up is 3 am. My parents have put my playpen in their bathroom for those nights that I just want to stay awake, that way, I dont wake up my sisters when they put me back to sleep and I cry. Luckily, I only cry for a few minutes then im out like a light. My parents say I am adorable and they love me very much even though my sleep habits aren't the best.

Hiking again

We are definitely getting some good exercise this summer. The weather has been great for hiking so we have enjoyed hitting the trails for some fun adventures. Even little Julianna has been able keep up and hike the entire trail. What a trooper. Im so glad that my girls have these fun memories to remember with their family.

California living

You gotta love California. What other state can you hike to a waterfall one day and then go bike riding at the beach the other. I just love living in southern Californa. I dont think I will ever leave. I love the variety of activities that we have available. I feel very lucky to be able to live here.

More hiking

Now that its not raining anymore, we have been hiking almost every day. There is a lot of water on our favorite trail so this is the best time of the year to hike. It isn't too hot and we can still see the beautiful waterfall at the end of the hike.

Summer is here!

Now that summer has arrived we can now go out and hit the hiking trails. It is just too cold to do it before. We love our local mountains because we have the trails so close. Its a great workout and a great outing for all of us. We hike up the mountain to the waterfall and just enjoy. Good times.

Solana's baptism

Little Solana got baptised today. She did a great job! She looked so pretty in her dress. The day was beautiful! We are having fun watching Solana grow up!

My loves

I love to take pictures but I love it even more when I have beautiful subjects. My babies are the best. They are my little models and they do such a great job!

Last day of Preschool for Julianna

I am 3 years and 3 months and I just finished my first year of preschool. My parents feel its very important for me to get out of the house and make friends so they started me in preschool early at 2 1/2 years old. I had a great time and I met lots of great friends, so did my parents. My teachers name was Miss. Minette and she was wonderful. She really loved her kids. I had a great experience and so did my parents. Now its time to move on and say goodbye.

Since this is the only time of the year that we can guarantee that everyone is together, I take advantage and take a yearly family picture. Its great because we can see how everyone has grown and/or matured, been deleted or added on.

2011 City of Hope Picnic

Once again, we had an amazing time at our yearly City of Hope Picnic. Wonderful familiy members and amazing friends volunteered their time to come out and spend the day helping others. It is always a very fun day. Everyone worked really hard and did an amazing job. We were all pooped by the end.
