Lunch in Old Town Pasadena

No more leftovers for us. We went out and had lunch at the Cheesecake factory today to enjoy some non Thanksgiving food. Yum Yum. Tamara has really become a great photographer. Take a look at her shots.

Thanksgiving Day

Another great Thanksgiving at the Munoz residence. I think I will stick with this new turkey recipe because it came out fabulous. It was very juicy and had loads of flavor. Dont ask for the recipe Grandpa Bob.

Happy Birthday Alec!

We spent the afternoon celebrating Alec's 1st birthday. The party was fabulous and the kids had lots of fun. Tamara even raised her hand and volunteered to be part of the bubbles show. I was amazed.

Wedding

We had a wedding to go to today and no babysitter for Julianna. So we took her along. This little girl was great. She hung out for a few hours and then at 7:30 fell asleep in my sling. She slept until the next morning. Thank you for letting us enjoy ourselves Julianna!

Dinner at Zucca

Since Robert has been coming home so late, we decided to meet him half way to have dinner. He chose the restaurant Zucca which surprised me because its not a kid restaurant. Its a little fancy and we were going on a Friday night. So we got there with our kids in tow and recieved the stares as we were seated by the hostess. What they didnt know was that our kids are used to going out to dinners and know how to behave. We had a very nice dinner and on our way out, the people next to us asked "Are your kids always this good". Hey, what can I say.

What are you guys doing to me?!

8 months old Today!

So Julianna is now 8 months old. She is growing so fast, its unbelievable. The cliche is true, time flies. So what is happening with Julianna now?

1) Teething bad... she can't close her mouth because it hurts, so she keeps her mouth open with her tongue sticking out. The saliva just pours out. Poor thing. Her gums are red and painful, but no teeth yet.

2) Teething is making her VERY needy. She wants to be in your arms all the time. The moment you put her down, she starts to wail.

3) Not napping well, probably because of the teething. She has gone 6 hours straight AWAKE!! AHHH! Lets hope this is just due to the teething.

4) Has been waking up once a night between 3-4 am. I dont like it. I hope this ends soon. Plus she wakes up too early....6am. No no no no no no!

5) Would rather stand than crawl. Taking steps with hand or furniture support. I think she will be an early walker.

6) Has gone through all the veggies and fruits. Has tried and liked meat products.

Tamara loves bagels with lots of cream cheese and Jamba juice for breakfast (lunch and dinner too). Today we had some time before school so we stopped by Noahs bagels and had a little breakfast.

Happy b-lated bday Uncle Jesse

Tamara decided to make a belated bday cake for her Uncle Jesse since he didnt get one for the actual day, exactly one month ago. So we got out her Scooby Doo cake pan and got to work. We even made colorful Scooby Doo frosting.

No Marathon

Unfortunately this weekend's fires spoiled our Marathon day. The air quality was terrible and the city was forced to cancel the marathon at 4 am Sunday morning. Boo! We were all bummed out about it but were happy that Rosalba and Damian had driven down because we were able to spend some quality time with them. We had a great breakfast at home and then enjoyed indoor activities at Dave and Busters. The adults got to watch football & drink a brusky and Tamara got to play games and win prizes. Couldnt get much better than that. It turned out to be a great day!

Pasadena Marathon Here We Come

For those of you who can, we would love to see you out on the Pasadena streets on Sunday morning. Robert, Jesse, Niveet and myself will be running the 1/2 and me and Niveet will be running the full. Come out and cheer us on.

Making friends

Julianna knows the importance of making friends at an early age. Here she is with one of her friends in her Pasadena College class. She liked his bald head.

Disneyland

Since I didn't get a chance to take Tamara to Disneyland for her birthday, I decided to take her on Friday afternoon after she got out of school. Luckily we have season passes so we can go anytime and spend a few hours. She had a great time and we got to have some one on one. She was a little scared of the Haunted Mansion that I MADE her ride but other than that she had a blast.

Getting ready to start drawing. We took a sketching class. Probably not a good idea for a 4 year old perfectionist. She got really upset because her sketch didnt look perfect like the teachers. We wont be taking that class again in the near future.
