My girls

We took some pictures at home today for our Christmas frames. Tamara is 7 years and 2 months, Julianna is 3 years 9 months and Karina is 1 year 1 month.

Santa Pic

We went to the mall for our santa picture. We got there at 3:45 and they were having technichal difficulties. They said it would be 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, they said everything was working but now Santa had to take an hour break! What the heck!!! I couldnt believe it. Well, we waited around the mall and came back an hour later and this is the picture we got.

Cancun

We finally got to have our Summer vacation in the winter. We went to Cancun and had such a great time. We stayed in an all-inclusive which was so great. Robert spent most of the time eating and drinking. I think the only negative was missing Karina because we didnt take her with us. I dont think we will do that again because it was hard, at least for me. It was great seeing her when we got back.

Worms

We had some crazy winds that caused many people to loose their power. Sofia came over and spent a few days with us after loosing electricity for over 4 days. The girls had a great time playing with each other and enjoying the worms in the back yard. They collected over 40 worms. Yuk!

Happy birthday Karina!

My little Karinita is now one years old. She has been a wonderful little girl and a great addition to our family. She makes us all very happy. The girls love her so much. Karina is growing up so quickly and she makes us smile everyday. She is still not walking, however, she gets acround very quickly by crawling. She has started to get into everything. She has begun opening all our drawers and cabinets. She takes out all of our DVDs, tupperwear and basically whatever she can find. She hasnt really said any words yet but she talks a lot. She nods no with her head. She has sort of said, mamma and pappa and elmo but not consistently. She can show you her eyes and mouth. She is sleeping mostly through the night but usually gets up at around 5:45 to eat and then goes right back to sleep. She naps 2 times a day. Its been a joy so far with this little girl. We love being her parents.

7 year doctor appointment

Its hard to believe that its been 7 years already. Tamara went in for her physical exam today with Dr. Legault. He has been her doctor for the last 7 years. Its so cool.

Happy Birthday Tamara

Tamara is now 7 years old. Its almost unbelievable how fast time has passed since the day she was born. She changed our lives that morning on Oct 11, 2004. She has been one stubborn, strong willed and strong minded child that has given us a run for our money. Because of her, we have become the parents we are today. She has taught us so much about parenting and for that we are grateful. We are looking forward to watching her grow and develop into a beautiful and intelligent young lady. We are so proud of her and her accomplishments so far. She has matured so much over this last year and she has made us so grateful that she is our little girl.

I feel so lucky to have been given the best kids. They each are so different, its amazing. I'm enjoying seeing them grow.

The litle Jack-o-lantern

Tamara has now lost her first top tooth. She now has two open gaps in her bottom teeth and one huge gap on her upper teeth. She looks very cute with her missing teeth. Just in time for Halloween, the little Jack-o-lantern.

11 months old

So I am now 11 months old and am growing so fast. I can crawl super fast and I am getting into everything. I love to put things into my mouth. My family has to make sure the floors are clear of small objects when I am around because if not I will pop them into my mouth. I am a mommy's girl right now and I do not like being away from my mom for too long. Nobody can hold me when my mom is around or else I will cry. I am starting to get mad when things are taken away from me. I will cry or scream, a sign that I am growing up. I am teething quite bad right now. I have 2 top teeth coming in at the same time and it is bothering me. My tongue is always sticking out and I am drooling like crazy. This makes me a little moody and fussy. It is not common for me to be fussy but right now i just cant help it because my mouth hurts. I have a total of 6 teeth right now. I can now wave good bye, I can show you my eyes, stand up for a few seconds and nod "no" with my head. I still love to eat but I am starting to refuse certain foods. I nap 2 times a day and go to bed between 7-8. Unfortunately, I still wake up at least once a night and that makes my parents very tired during the day. They hope that I start sleeping through the night soon.

Visit from Solana

We got a nice visit from Solana and her mommy and daddy today. We had such a nice relaxing day at the park and at our home having a nice dinner. Our girls are so lucky to have such a great family. Cant wait for whats to come.

Back to school night

Julianna's back to school night was this evening. She got to meet her teacher Mrs. Wu and got to check out her new classroom. She was so cute. I know she is going to do very well.

Good times with friends

We got to celebrate a long awaited special event, the soon-to-be arival of baby Nagpal. The Nagpals threw a very entertaining Shower/Housewarming party at their home and we all had a blast. It was great to see old friends, it felt like the olden days. So fun! I hope to have many more of those moments in our lives.

Tamara's first soccer meeting

Tamara decided that she wanted to play soccer this year. Robert was soo excited that he signed up to be the assistant coach of the team. The team name is the Bubbly Flamingo Sparkles. Tamara is actually excited to play. I cant wait to watch her in her first game. We met her coach and teamates today and they all seem to get along pretty well. Afterwards, we played at the park.

Kidspace Museum

We rarely have a weekend where we have nothing to do. We love to get out of the house. Today we went to Kidspace and spent some fun hours with the girls. The great thing about Kidspace is that there is lots to do for all of us, including the baby. There is a baby play area that is fully padded and therefore, very safe. All the girls like to play in there prior to going to the museum. In the museum, there are lots of climbing structures, ant holes and activities to keep them busy. Plus there is always a craft for the girls to do. There is an outdoor area with a little stream, playground and fun outdoor activities. I love living in Pasadena where there is always something to do.

Officially a 2nd grader

So Tamara started her first day of 2nd grade today. Drop off went well. She was a little sad because her best friend was in a different class but she handled it well. A few years ago, she would of had a melt down, this year she just acted sad but was able to think throught it, accept it and move on. Now that is an accomplishment!! Its amazing that my once baby is now in 2nd grade. Time sure has been moving at light speed. We are very proud of Tamara and all she has accomplished so far. She is one intense kid but she has been learning to use that intense behavior to her benefit. She has been trying really hard to use her "big girl" skills of control. We all realize that it must be hard to be a perfectionist in an un-perfect world. Tamara has still had some trouble in the "loosing" department as she HAS to win at everything but even that has been getting better. We have been told by many that Tamara is going to be an amazing adult because of her intense personality and we believe them. She amazes us every day! Good luck on your first day Tamara!

Back to school night

We got to meet Tamara's 2nd grade teacher today, Miss Andrews at back to school night. Tamara also found out what friends were in her class but was dissapointed to find out that her best friend was in another class. Poor thing but good learning experience for her. She knows that she can see her at lunch and recess. Other than a pouty face, she handled it well.

10 months old

I am 10 months old today. I am crawling all over the house and I am getting quite fast. There is no stopping me now. I always want to be around my mom so I go look for her. I no longer military crawl since I learned how to super crawl. I still like to pick things up of the floor and put them in my mouth. I like to get into all the toy boxes, take toys out and scatter them all over the floor. I love playing with my sisters. They still love to play with me too. They think I am their doll. I am starting to use my voice more and scream when I want something. My mom is telling me that I need to use my words but they just dont come out yet. I prefer to scream and grunt. If my sister takes a toy from me, I scream at her and I will cry. I LOVE to eat! I eat practically everything that is put in front of me. I love regular food like brocolli, beans, potatoes, ground beef, soups, cereal, tortillas, rice, some fruit only, and all the baby food. I can eat and eat. My favorite drink is breast milk. I finally am taking swigs of diluted apple juice. I am a true youngest child because I still wont hold my own bottle. What for ha? My grandma still holds it for me so there is no need. I am still napping 3x a day and my night-time sleeping is finally improving. I have now started to sleep until 5 am every other night. My mom feeds me and puts me right back to bed and sometimes sleep until 8am. On the other days, I still wake up 2x a night but it is getting much better. Everyone really loves me and holds me all the time. They think I am great. I am a very happy baby.
