Relaxing Saturday

We spent the day at home today. The weather usually dictates if we go out and today's weather was gloomy and cold so we just relaxed at home going to the farmers market, playing games, and having some quaility family time. Nice.

Evening with the Alvas

We had a nice relaxing evening with the Alvas tonight. The girls had so much fun playing together and Olivia just hung out with us. She's so cute.

Disney's Christmas Carol Train Tour

We went back today to union station to see the Disney's Christmas Carol Train tour. We made it this time with only a 1 1/2 hour wait. Not too bad since most of the wait was outside with christmas carols, juggling giant men, a band and a unicyclist. The train tour was really nice and we all had a great time.


This time the line was only 1 1/2 hours.

Cake Pops

Tamara and I experimented today with a new dessert. We made Cake Pops Happy Faces. It was lots of fun, very messy and lots of work but we really enjoyed ourselves.

Today we took the gold line into union station in an attempt to visit the Disney Christmas Carol Train Exibit. When we go off the train, we immediately saw the line to the Disney train......a 5 hour wait. Humm? No thanks, especially not with a 1 year old. So we improvised and decided to go have lunch by the staples center. We did the touristy thing and took a bus to LA Live and had lunch at the yard house. We had a really nice time just relaxing with the kids, watching the Dodger game and eating some pretty good food. Tamara was really excited to get on a bus, she thought it was such a treat....little does she know.

We spent the afternoon in San Pedro at the Museum and Tide Pools. We went a little late so it was already high tide and so all we saw were sea urchin, a dead lobster and some crab. Tamara enjoyed it though.

The Catholic School next to our house had a little carnival this evening. We took a little walk (or ride) to enjoy the festivities.

Mothers Day

We changed it up a bit this year and decided to spend the day at the beach for Mother's Day. We all had a great time playing volleyball, having a picnic, playing in the sand and in the water. It was a good day.

Spring Concert 2009

Tamara performed in her last spring concert at Sunrise Preschool. It was a bitter/sweet moment as preschool is almost over. She did such a great job. We have seen how much she has matured over the last year and its amazing. We are so proud of her.

Great day

Tamara and I spent a great day in Palms Springs today. We left early and got to my friend Lowell's salon and got our hair cut. We then did a little shopping and returned to have lunch with Lowell and Taylor. It was so great seeing our old friends again.
