Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a blast at our house this year. We started off the evening in our front lawn taking the "traditional" Halloween picture. We then went over to the Ronga's to start our Trick o Treating adventure. We trick o treated for about an hour and the kids did great. Tamara loved to see her Jack o lantern fill up with treats. We then came back home and did a little trick o treating on our street. We finished off the evening with a nice Thai dinner from one of our favorite restaurants "Chandra", yum! Unfortunately, Tamara ate WAY too much candy behind our backs and had a little burst of energy at the end of the night. Now we know, stick to our rules....only 1 piece of candy at a time. For those of you who know Tamara, she doesnt need eny help in the energy department.

Halloween at Descanso Gardens

Julianna finally got her share of Halloween fun today at Descanso Gardens. Her class took a field trip to the gardens so we got to take a little hike and enjoy the outdoors. My little peanut had a great time.

After we got back from San Antonio, Tamara and I headed over to My Gym for a little Halloween party. She had such a great time. She was a wild child. For the first time, she was one of the older kids so she was almost trampling over the little kids. This activity was actually for Julianna but she was too pooped out from the trip, she took a 3 hour nap.

Happy Retirement Greg!

So we all took a mini vacation to San Antonio for Greg's retirement party. We all had such a great time. Everything went so well. The kids did great the ENTIRE time, the plane ride, sleeping away from home, at the party and at Greg's house. I was so proud of both of them for not embarrasing me. They made parenting look easy. Greg's party was lots of fun with tons of people.....he has LOTS of friends. The music was great with a mariachi band and a regular band. Then, when the party was over at around 11:30 pm, whoever remained (about 40 people) came over to Greg's house to party some more. Gotta give it up to the Texans, they can party. Us Californian's are whimps in that department.....but not in USC FOOTBALL!!! Ha Ha!. Anyways we had a great time and even got to go on a scarry hay-ride through the forest at Albert's in-laws property. In California, that ride would have cost at least $10 per person. Tamara loved it.....and so did the adults. Thanks Texas for such a great weekend. Hope to see you in December!

7 months old

Yes, Julianna is now 7 months old. She is growing so fast, its amazing. Plus, this kid is doing things SOOO quickly. What can she do now?

1) Started to crawl today

2) Started to stand up in her crib today.

3) Can stand, then sit, then go into a crawling position (of course holding onto something)

4) Gets into everything, wants to grab everything. I guess we really do have to baby-proof.


Just so you know the difference between my kids....Tamara didn't stand in her crib until she was 8 months old and she didn't start to crawl until she was 9 months old. Plus Julianna is so much more nosy and likes to get into everything. I think we have our work cut out for us.

After booster-seat shopping, we sat out in the front lawn and my babies enjoyed each other's company. The girls love hanging out with each other. It is so nice to see them develop their cute relationship.

Bye Bye Car Seat

This day couldn't come any sooner for Tamara, the day she could get rid of her car seat. I have not known any kid who hated their car seat as much as Tamara. Luckily, now that she is 4 (and almost 40 pounds), we went ahead and bought her a booster. Little does she know, this booster is similar to a car seat in that she still has to use the 5 point harnest, but we wont let her know that. All she needs to know is that she now is old enough for a booster and she will be in it for a long time.

One of only 3 visits to Babies R Us in the last 4 years.

Pumpkin Patch

Sofia spent the afternoon and evening with us so we all decided to go to our local pumpkin patch and pick out a few pumpkins. The girls had so much fun looking at the ghosts and goblins. They even went into the haunted house all by themselves.

Cousins

A nice thing about special occasions is that Tamara's cousins come from Hanford and stay at our house, so Tamara and Julianna get to spend some quality time with them. Today we had a little photo shoot in our backard.

Happy Birthday Tamara!

Today was Tamara's 4th birthday party. Several months ago, I named off many birthday themes for this year's bday party and once again, she chose her favorite, Scooby Doo. Yes, last year's party was also Scooby Doo so this year's party was a little different... A Scooby Doo Mystery Party. After the party had started, the Birthday Phantom stole Tamara's birthday presents and the kids goody bags. The kids spent the day searching for clues to that would lead them to the presents and goody bags. I was a little nervous about how this mystery would work since the kids were so small but they all seemed to get it. I kept getting asked "when are we finding the next clue?" It was so cute. The party was a great success and everyone had fun, especially Tamara.
