Great Birthday

I had such a great relaxing birthday. Even though I worked today, my birthday was a lot of fun. After work, we went to an amazing restaurant called Cicada in downtown LA. The food was soooo good, we enjoyed every last bit of it. The atmosphere was great, with great music and great surroundings. Our waiter was very knowledgable and sold us on every item on the menu. Yum, Yum. I wish we could eat like that every day. Thank you Robert for always making my birthdays so wonderful. Thank you Niveet and Jeena for joining us and making my birthday a great day. Once I get the pictures from Jeena I will post some of them too.

Making the best of a rainy weekend

We woke up Saturday to a sunny beautiful day. We were so excited to have a rain-free day that we decided to take a drive to the snow. We left a little late because Tamara had gymnastics at 10am so we didn't get on the road until about 12:00pm. We got off the freeway and started our way to the base of the mountain, when boom, the sig-alert started. We drove about 40 minutes in hopes that a miracle of some kind would happen and the traffic would subside but it never did. We decided to just turn back. Oh well, we can see the snow another day. We substituted our snow day with a beach day at the Santa Fe Dam recreation park in Irwingdale. Wow, who would have thought that such a nice outdoorsy place was located so close (about 10 min) to our house. We had a great time.

Tamara's Vacation

Lucky for Tamara she didnt have to go to school on Monday due to the holiday. So off she went with her Abue to stay in Oceanside for 2 days. She had a great time visiting her Tia Rosalba and Tio Damian since they also didnt have to work (must be nice). So they went to the beach and flew kites, made fortresses in the living room and had a great few days. Tamara didn't want to come home and she cried when she left. What can you do, I guess we are boring.

Visitors Beware

Tamara's favorite thing to do right now is to hide and to hide others. Her mom and dad don't play with her as much as she would like, so when visitors come over, they become the targets. So beware when you come to the Munoz house, you will be attacked by a 3-year old.

Fun in the snow

One great thing about living in LA is that it can be 75 degrees outside and in 40 minutes, your can be in the snow. What a nice day it was. Tamara had such a great time sledding and so did we. The best part about it was that it only took about 3 hours of our day. Cant get much better than that. We started out our day at a mini Gymnastics meet for Tamara, then headed on over to the snow, came home and had a visit from Rosalba & Damian. It was a great Saturday.

Cooking lesson

Today I taught Tamara how to make pizza dough. This kid is a natural. She loves to help out and make new things. Hopefully soon, she will be making us dinner.

New Years is always a great time in Pasadena, especially when you live by the Rose Parade route. We slept in and were out of the house by 9:30 to walk to the corner and watch the floats go by. The day was perfect for float watching.
