Happy Birthday Robert!

I decided to throw Robert a small bday party with some of our close friends. It was a great time and everyone had a nice time. We took advantage of the day to also have a housewarming party so that everyone could see our newly remodeled home.

After about 10 minutes of arguing and forcing this child to sit on the stool, she eventually listened when we told her she was not going to get her surprise. The only way we got the smile was for me to pretend to hit the photographer. She thought that was pretty funny.

13 weeks and counting

So far so good. The baby to be is growing before our eyes and is already quite the active little creature. If he/she is anything like Tamara, we are in trouble. I am doing ok. I thought that after I reached my 2nd trimester I would feel a whole lot better but that hasn't really happened yet. It seems like I got a second wind of yuck-ness, I am almost certain that this is a boy. We will see.

Tamara has taken a great interest in photography lately (maybe because I am always taking pictures of her). She now has learned to hold an use my camera. Scarry! But she loves it and is getting better. She says "show your teeth", "say cheese". Very cute. Here are some examples of her work.

Lobster party

Today we enjoyed an evening of great food and relaxation with friends. Luckily although it was an adult party, Tamara was also invited. She had such a great time. Her friend Francesca was also at the party and the two of them had so much fun. They swam, looked for cats and hung out with all the adults. We also spent much of the time watching the USC vs. Nebraska game. GO TROJANS!!!!!! Game was a little boring because we were just too good for those cornhuskers.

First day of school

Today's first drop off was not too bad. Tamara clung on to my leg for a minute after I told her good-bye. Her teachers were great and distracted her enough for me to leave. Definitely much
better than the drop offs at her other school. So far so good.

Tamara will be starting her new preschool this Friday so today we went to me meet her new teachers and check out her new classroom. We were all very excited about the new school and we think Tamara will do great. Tamara says she liked it.

Playgroup Picnic

We spent our Saturday with Tamara's lifelong friends. She met all these kids when she was about 2 months old. They have been part of her playgroup practically since birth. We all met at a mommy and me class and have kept in contact ever since. Luckily the weather was perfect and all of us had a great time.

The news

So after almost 3 years of only having Tamara, we decided to take the plunge and try it again. Yes, I am expecting a baby! I am now 10 weeks pregnant and my due date is April 4th, 2008. Unfortunately, this pregnancy hasn't been as pleasant as Tamara's was however. I have felt quite ill for the last month but luckily it has now slowly gotten better. So if you haven't heard from me much, that is why. I don't know how I even made it to work. Actually work has been easier than staying home and taking care of my crazy Tamara. Robert has had to step in an basically take over for this last month. Thank you! Hopefully I will be back in full swing in a couple of weeks. So keep checking the blog for updates as I'm sure there will be many.

Our final day in Monterey was spent hanging out with the person we came to see, Nadia. She was soo cute and cudly. Tamara just loved her and wanted to touch her all the time. Congratulations Nilam & Sonal on such a beautiful little girl. Thank you for a great weekend!

Rita's BBQ

We continued our weekend at a BBQ at Nilam's sister's house Rita. Everyone had a great time. The adults played football whild the kids where lost throughout the house and yard. We rarely saw them all in one place. It was a great day with great weather.
