Visit with Bella & Gia

Today we went to visit our friends Gia and Bella. We had not met Bella yet so today was a treat for us. Bella was adorable and is only 3 weeks younger than Julianna. Hopefully they can grow up to be great friends like me and their mom.

Visit from Nana & Tia Mary

We had the pleasure of having Tamara's Nana and her Tia Mary stay with us for a few days. We all had such a great time visiting and playing games. I feel that Tamara and Julianna are so lucky to have family that spends time with them.

Happy Birthday Madeline

We continued our busy weekend by going to Madeline's 2nd bday party. We all had a great time. Tamara loves playing with both Madeline and Connor. Tamara got to swim and even wrestle with Madeline.

Happy Birthday Niveet!

We had such a great evening today celebrating Niveet's 35th bday at Sunset Beach. It is so nice to live in LA where we can enjoy such fun outdoor activites. We spent a few hours on a boat enjoying some cocktails and gawking at the amazing homes on the harbor.

Descanso Gardens

We are at our 5th week of Descanso Gardens. Tamara is really enjoying this outdoor activity. She loves to look for new trees and plants and LOVES the fish. Today's theme was fish and spent lots of our time at the Japanese gardens visiting with the Koi fish.

Julianna is now old enough to ride the swings at the park. She enjoyed being pushed fast. She thought it was quite funny. It's amazing how fast these kids grow up.

Ear Piercing

Today I decided that it was time to have Julianna's ears pierced. I had taken Tamara to a dermatologist to pierce her ears when she was 4 months old and paid $80. I started thinking, if I can perform bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures and inject people, why can I not pierce my daughters ears. So I saved myself the cash and did it myself. I put on some numbing cream for an hour and then got to work. Luckily my brother had an ear piercing kit with a gun and some sterile baby earing sets. It was a cinch. Two quick clicks of the gun and my baby had her ears pierced. Worth it!

Pasadena's Farmer's market

When you marry someone from HANFORD (cow town), this is what you get. A guy with a green thumb and LOTS of FRUIT. Today Robert picked 98 nectarines from our tree. This picking is not the first, nor the second, but the third and the tree is still full of fruit. What the heck?? Plus, about a month ago, Robert threw away about 100 nectarines because he said they were too close together and they wouldn't allow the other fruit to grow. So yes, we are swimming in fruit. So if anyone is hungry, come on over, we have plenty.

So today we took advantage of the beautiful weather and partied at the Old Lion's Manor Mansion. This party was amazing! There were exotic animals, an open bar, an amazing pool and a huge turn out. The event benefited a charity called P.L.A.Y. that donates toys to underserved children.

Happy Birthday Jayla!

After our morning run 7 miles (me) and 8 miles (robert) we all went to celebrate Jayla's 2nd birthday party at Annette's house. Tamara enjoyed swimming and Julianna enjoyed sleeping in her Abue's arms for most of the party. Jayla looked so cute!
