Karina, my USC Baby.

My little 3 year old. You are just so cute! What are you up to nowadays? Humm, you turned 3 and you started your terrible 3's. You have learned to throw little tantrums when you don't get your way. You don't eat very well but you love your candy. You like to fight with your little sister and act all tough. But overall, you make us all very happy.

Ted's jail time

So yesterday was such a stressful and sad day for us. Ted got out the night before and apparently had gotten hit by a car per our neighbors. Of course, we thought the worse. I didn't sleep all night and was worried and sad the next morning. It was such an awful feeling that I honestly have never felt before. I went to the humane society yesterday morning to put in a list dog report and I posted fliers all over the place. I thought we had lost him completely. However, I got a call from the humane society at 2:00 telling me that he was brought in and that he was fine.  It was such a great felling. All the worry and stress completely vanished and it was replaced with happiness. I was on a natural high. I went to the pound and picked him up and he was just fine. He had a little bloody nose and a bloodshot eye but overall, he was ok. I took him home and surprised the kids. They were so happy to see him. It was a great day!

Fun times

The Alvas came over today to have dinner and spend the last moments of Memorial Weekend with us. The girls had a blast playing with each other. They drove the motorized mustang, hide and seek and played in the playroom with each other. We had delicious fish tacos, courtesy or Robert. The day turned out so nice. Too bad we have to go back to work tomorrow.

Julianna hates the splits

Julianna, you have been doing gymnastics on the CAT team for almost a year now and you are doing great! You are the youngest one on the team but you are hanging in there and keeping up with the older girls. The one thing you really hate is the splits. Sometimes you even cry when you do them. Luckily, you will get your splits soon and they won't hurt anymore.

Julianna's 5th birthday

Julianna, today we had a little BBQ to celebrate your 5th birthday. We had a few friends over and had a very nice time. It was so cute to see you have so much fun and to really enjoy yourself. You have grown up so much and are just so pretty and just adorable. It makes me so happy yo just see you happy. This was a great day!

Karina

My little Karina, you are so grown up now.  You are speaking so well and you are acting like a little girl.  You love to play with your sisters.  Your favorite TV show is Peppa Pig.  You watch it every day and even snort like Peppa the pig.  Its so cute.  You love to dance and run around.  You also love to scream very very loud.  That is not your best quality :/ I am having so much fun watching you grow!

Christmas in February with the Alvas

We didnt get to spend Christmas or New Years with the Alvas this year because we were all out of town. Unfortunately, we had to wait until February to see each other because the Alva clan was sick for most of January. So, on February 10th, the Alva clan came over and we had a blast. The girls played until the very last minute, we didn't have too many dramatic moments and we got to spend quality time with everyone. It was a great Sunday!

New Baby

Julianna's friend from infancy now has a newly adopted little baby brother. His name is Oliver and he is so cute! The girls now have a new little friend to add to the group.

My party

Yesterday was my 40th bday party at our house. I invited my close friends and family over and had a very enjoyable evening. Everyone hung out and mingled, had lots of drinks and lots of delicious food and desserts. I couldn't have asked for a better evening.

My 40th birthday

So I am now the big 4-0. I don't feel any differently and I think I still look the same. Its been a great 40 years do far. I am very happy with what I have accomplished so far in my life and I still hope to accomplish a lot more. I have had it good.

Party time

So today we went to David's 3rd birthday party at Jump it Up. Tamara, you were as red as a tomato by the end of the party from jumping so much. You all had a great time. Karina, you were afraid of the bounce houses but I still took you in one of them so you could slide. You liked that alot. Julianna, you were all over the place. You kept asking me to watch you as you came sliding down the big slide. You are such a big girl now.

Gymnastics

Julianna, you are doing so good in gymnastics. You are on the CAT 3 team for 4-6 year olds. They are getting you strong and preparing you to hopefully compete next year. It's amazing how strong you have gotten since you started last summer. I really like this little team because they focus on conditioning rather than full blown gymnastics. This way, when you are ready to learn gymnastics tricks, you will be strong enough to perform them correctly.

Counting Blessings

Today was a very sad day at work. One of my sweet little 3 year old patients died. I can't help but look at my own babies and just count my blessings for their health. It almost makes me feel guilty for having it so good. I'm very fortunate.

Visiting cousins

Today was such a relaxing and fun day. Your dad had some work to do on our rental unit so we decided to take a road trip to Carlsbad to visit your cousins. We all just relaxed and gave Solana and Daniela lots of hugs and kisses. You guys played kitchen, played hide and seek, read books and just had fun. Hopefully we can see them again soon.

Soccer

So Tamara, we are off to another soccer season. This will be your first time playing "real" soccer with goalies, positions and keeping score. You are really looking forward to this because you want to win and make it count. You had a good game and you made it clear that you didn't want to play offense because it was too tiring (lazy-butt).

Karina's first Kidspace mommy and me class

Karina, you went to your first mommy and me class at Kidspace today. Your Abue took you and you had fun exploring, playing with the kids and sitting in circle-time. You were still a bit clingy to Abue and she couldn't stray very far away from you, but you did good. Hopefully these little classes will start to prepare you for pre-school that will start in September.
