Playdate

Sofia came over to play with Tamara today. They both had a nice time on the swing and with some help from us, were able to take turns. Baby steps is key with 2 year olds.

Happy Birthday Rosalba!

Our birthday weekend continued through Sunday with a last minute celebration of Rosalba's birthday. We did a quick little BBQ for her and we had a great time! We finally got to use our new deck for the first time and it served its purpose well. The steps came in handy as seating areas.

We rushed home after Francesca's party with just enough time to change and take Tamara to Kids Klub where she stayed until 11:00 am! Poor kid, she had a day full of bounce houses! Must be rough. Anyways, we had a nice time celebrating with Niveet and the gang. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for Jeena to send me the pictures so all you will get to see is me and Rosalba.

So our weekends are getting busier and busier as we speak. No longer do we have only one party but 4 parties that we have to try to go to. Unfortunately, we were not able to make all of our events this weekend so we appoligize to those that we didn't make. We will make it up to you!!!

In order to live in our house, you need to earn your keep. Tamara is doing just that. We put her to work by helping us finish her playhouse. As you can see, she has her spatula and joint compound ready to go. Tamara's job is texturing the walls.

Jayla's 1st birthday party

Our Saturday adventures continued as we moved on to Jayla's 1st birthday party. Tamara had a blast in the bouncer and especially liked playing with Isaac. Happy birthday Jayla!

The Circus

We started off our weekend at the Ringling Brothers & Bailey circus. Nina Jeena invited Tamara and I to join her on Saturday morning. Tamara had a nice time and especially liked the Elephants. Unfortunately, she kept asking me over and over again if she could ride them. Thank you Jeena for a great outing!

Don't try this at home

Let me explain how this happened. I was working on Tamara's playhouse and was up in her loft. I asked Robert to help me down so I got on his shoulders. Well, Tamara saw this and started screaming "Sube Cuello Mama" (let me get on your shoulders Mama). What? I thought. Are you kidding? But she was determined. So we did what she asked and gave it a shot. Its a lot harder than it looks especially when the photographer took soooooo long to get a good picture.

Sube cuello

Tamara's favorite pass time is to be on top of her Papa's shoulders. She is always asking to "Sube Cuello Papa"..... English translation "Put me on top of your shoulders dad". It doesn't sound that cute in English, sorry.

The Redwood

Unfortunately, Robert and I don't get to go out too much these days. Tamara keeps us busy doing kid-friendly activities. But today, Tamara was at a sleep-over at Grandma's so we went out the Dave's bar, the Redwood. Its a pretty cool bar/lounge right smack in the middle of downtown. It's got a pirate theme and specializes in delicious beers. We had a great time.
