Seussical The Musical

Our Saturday was filled with many activities including getting up really early for our first day of marathon training, taking Tamara to gymnastics, going to the farmers market for some much needed fruits and vegetables, taking a nap and then finally a last minute activity, going to watch a musical at the Pasadena High School. Tamara's gymnastics instructor was a "Who" in the "Seussical The Musical" so we went to check it out. Wow! What a great show! We all had a great time. I felt like I was at a broadway show. The kids were great, the singing was amazing and the storyline kept us interested. It was based on "Horton Hears a Who" and a variety of Seussian characters from several of Dr. Seuss books...Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, the Whos of Whoville, the Wickersham Brothers (Tamara's favorites), Sour Kangaroo and the Citizens of the Jungle of Nool. We gave it 5 stars.

Training begins

Its official. Today we started our Pasadena Marathon training at the Rose Bowl. We are actually going to do it again. Pretty crazy. This time however we will have to figure out how to train 4-5 times a week with two small kids. It will be a sacrifice but I think we can do it. We already bought the double jogging stroller so that both of the kids can train with us. Save the date for November 16 and come out to the streets of Pasadena to support us....we will need it!

One thing about being the baby is that you get to do things a lot earlier than your older siblings. Julianna got to go to Disneyland and California Adventure for the first time at 2 months old. Im not sure how much she got out of it but it was fun for us. Our only complaint is that we couldn't go on all the rides together and had to take turns. But overall, we had such a great day. Tamara rode Thunder Mountain for the first time and LOVED it. She is a roller coaster freak! Weekdays at Disneyland are GREAT! Do I have to go back to work?

We have had such a great weekend. These little girls have had great days and have been on their best behavior. We spent the day relaxing in preparation our our friend Anil's annual memorial day party. When we got there, Tamara spent the entire evening with Ayan. They played so good together, they were best buds.

Visit from Tio Damian and Tia Rosalba

Tamara's Tios came over today to work on wedding invitations. While Rosalba and I worked, Damian got to hang out with the kiddies. Tamara loves her Tio Damian.

Tamara's friend Taryn turned 4 today and had a Strawberry Shortcake party. It was very cute to see Tamara interact with her school friends. She enjoyed the party and ate 2 cupcakes. The second one was behind my back, sneaky!

Until now, Julianna has been taking a bath in the sink. Today she took her first bath in her tub. She seemed to enjoy it. Our little girl is growing up. She is so much more fun now. Her personality has also begun to come out and is now smiling and cooing/talking. This is where the fun starts.

While we enjoyed ourselves at Disneyland, Julianna got some one on one with her Abue. She had a great time "sleeping" while Abue got to relax. Not too bad.

Disneyland trip

We spent Tuesday at Disneyland with Tamara. We now have an annual pass so we will be frequenting the park more often. Tamara had such a great time. We were only going to stay for a few hours but it turned into an entire day event since she did not want to leave. She went on her first real rollercoaster "the Materhorn". She loved the ride but did not really like the snowmonster with the glowing red eyes. Her favorite attraction was "Toontown". She really enjoyed seeing Mickey, Minney and Goofy's house. She rode the rollercoaster in Toontown and wanted to get on it over and over, but we didnt want to wait in another 15 minute line for a 2 minute ride. Overall, we had a great "tiring" day.

We had such a busy Saturday. We had to split up in the morning so that Robert could take Tamara to gymnastics while I went to one of my patient's funerals. We then both had to be in South Pasadena by 12:45 for Sofia's performance, we both made it. The girls then went on some rides at the carnaval (even though it was 100 degrees). We had a late lunch at Danny and Cecilia's store (Bellini) and then left to get ready to go to Tina's college graduation in Murrieta. The graduation celebration was great and we had a really nice time. Congratulations Tina on your accomplishment.

After a hot day, the Alva's came over and we had a delicious BBQ. The girls played so well while we sat outside and hung out. It was a perfect night, the weather was so nice and so was the company.
