9 month doctor appointment

Julianna had her 9 month check up today. She did great. Her only issue was that she is small. She weighed in at 15 pounds which puts her in the 3%. Solution: She needs to eat more. We have 3 months to beef her up. Lets see how we do.

Cookies

Tamara and I spent the evening making and decorating cookies for her friends at school tomorrow. We had lots of fun decorating the cookies and licking our fingers. Yum yum!

Happy BIrthday Sofia!

After our 10K we went home and rested for a little bit and then headed on over to Sofia's 5th birthday party celebration. Its amazing how fast time goes. I remember when Sofia was born, we were in Honolulu, HI running a marathon. I remember getting the call that she was born and we were both so happy. We knew then that Sofia and her parents would become special people in our lives. Happy Birthday Sofia! We cant wait to celebrate all your important and special milestones.

Say No to Drugs 10K

We braved the cold weather and participated in the Say No to Drugs 10K race today. Whew it was COLD! We started the race at 8am in 44 degree weather. We had a great time and all finished strong.

So my girls got to visit Chuck e Chesse for the first time. We celebrated Joleen's 3rd birthday and needless to say, both my little girls had a blast. Tamara had a great time playing all the games and winning tickets while Julianna got on some kiddy rides and watched her sister spend all her money.

Remember these pictures? So cute. This is Tamara's pre-kindergarten class. She is in the back row second to the left.

A new tradition

The doorbell rang this evening and both Tamara and I ran to see who it was. It was Fed Ex delivering a package for Tamara Muñoz. The package came from the North Pole and immediately Tamara knew it was from Santa Claus. As she opened it she saw a wrapped green package with the official Seal from Santa's Workshop. When she opened it, she saw a cute little elf and a book. So the tradition starts. We read the story of the Elf on the Shelf and learned that this little elf would be staying at our house each day until Christmas. Then every night while we sleep he flies to the North Pole to report to Santa how Tamara behaved. When he comes back to our house he finds a new spot to sit and we have to find him in the morning. The story told Tamara that she could name her elf. He is officially ---Christopher the Elf!
