New Years Resolutions

So after having a few days to let the new year sink in, I have focused my attention on things I need to improve in my life. There are several things that keep popping up in my mind. The first and foremost is organizing my life. I feel that my life has been a bit unorganized ever since I had my 3rd child. Our lives revolve around our kids activities which make simple things having dinner very difficult.  My time is limited now a days so I have to come up with a more organized way to spend my evenings.  I am booked from 5-7 with either, gymnastics, soccer, piano or karate classes.  I have no time to make dinner so I have had to come up with a better plan to make each weeknight more organized. So what have I done? Basically, I made a weekly menu. Each day has a specific theme and the kids get to choose what they want to eat each day. This will hopefully make I easier to plan food for us and get us on a routine. We will see how it works. I figure that if on Sunday I know what we are eating the rest of the week, Robert and I can even make a few of the meals prior to the day and just pop them in the oven.  Hopefully it can work and we can start having some more decent meals.  The second thing that I need to work on this year is figuring out child care & school pick-ups. Now that my dad is getting older and less able to care for himself, my mom needs to be home more for him. I need to figure out how to make that happen. Karina will be starting preschool in the fall so that will be very helpful. I have a few month to figure this one out. Wish me luck.

My girls

So what's happening with my kiddos. They are great! My kids a quite nutty. They are loud, super active & they fight with each other from the time the sun comes up till it goes down. They keep us on our toes and we don't get a moments rest when we are with them.

Tamara continues being super active. She probably is our most difficult child to handle. She continuously fights us on anything we say. We are yet to get her to go to bed without lots of complaining. It takes lots of bargaining, arguing and finally flat out getting angry with her before she will finally knock out. She tells is that it's not fair, she's not tired, her friends get to stay up late and why does she have to go to bed at the same time as her sister. However, despite her little attitude, she's a great kid and we love her. She is a cool kid. 

Julianna is our clown. She is always being silly and acting nutty. Her favorite thing to do right now is call Tamara a "tomato". It's actualy very funny and we all laugh inside. She's a fiesty little girl and doesn't take any nonsense from anyone. It's just hilarious to watch because she is so little and skinny. Her little personality is hillarious and we just love to watch her make her silly faces. 

Karina is my sweet baby. She is super cute and has the sweetest personality. She is always laughing and being funny. She is very independent and loves to play in the playroom by herself. She loves her little people toys and cracks up when they slide down their little play structures.  She is talking a lot more and sounding out her words much better. One of my favorite things about her right now is her politeness.  Whenever I give her something that she has asked for, she always says "Gracias, Mama".  Its so cute.  

Happy New Year!

So we are off once again to complete those new year resolutions and to hopefully top last year.  Last year was great for our family, now we just hope make this year even better. We had a grey start to this year so far. We started it off by ringing in the new year with the Hanford clan. We played games right up till midnight, did our little toast and went on playing. We woke up to our annual walk (1 block) over to our front row seats to enjoy the rosé parade. This years parade was very nice and everyone enjoyed it. We then came back to enjoy some home made menudo, courtesy of Bob Munoz. The rest of the day was just spent relaxing, taking the kids to the park, eating and playing more games. It was a great start to 2013.

Labor day beach outing

What a great day! We spent most of the day at the beach with great friends. The girls played for hours and hours in the sand. They made sandcastles all day long. Karina was great and didnt nap until we went home, around 4. d

Today Tamara had her first communion and she did great. She has been wearing her hair in a pony tail for months so she had to be bribed to wear it down just this one day. She did it and she looked so cute. Her first communion went great! Tamara

Julianna 4 years old

My little Julianna is now 4. She is soo cute. She still has the cutest personality and continues to make funny faces and cute gestures. She is still a little clown and is constantly cracking jokes. She is doing great at Sunrise preschool and is enjoying learning her letters and numbers. She is learning how to write her name. She writes all the letters for her name but not quite in the order that they go. She will probably have it down soon.

Julianna still fights alot with Tamara. Tamara likes to tease her and make her mad. She makes the cutest faces when she gets mad. She has to have the funniest personality.

Happy 2012

Friends and Family. What a great start to a new year. We have a full house with very loud children, lots of delicious food and plenty of alcohol. I think its a great beginning to a great year. What's so great about this time of year is that the kids get to spend quality time with their cousins and their friends and get to play non-stop. What great memories they will have when they grow up. Us adults get to see them have a great time while enjoying each other's company, eating and drinking. You just cant beat that
