Finally getting a piano

One great thing about growing up is that you finally can get what you want. I wanted a piano for most of my life and after all these years, I finally got one. It is so beautiful and the sound is amazing. Can't wait to get back into it. I'm going to catch up to Tamara though, she is already getting so good.

Tamara gets her hair cut

We took a drive to Palm Springs today to visit my good friend Lowell and also for Tamara and I to get our hair cut. Tamara was looking forward to Lowell washing her hair and cutting it short. Both Robert and I were a little nervous about her wanting her hair short but Lowell did such a great job. Her hair ended up looking sooo cute! Thanks Lowell. Tamara has been getting lots of compliments. She was a little celebrity today at school.

Grandpa Chano

We had lunch with Grandpa Chano prior to coming back to LA from Hanford. He was just as funny as ever. The old man still thinks he is the "King Baby". Its pretty funny.

Happy Birthday Brad!

We took the amtrack to Hanford this weekend. It was such a nice change from the long dreaded drive. We arrived on Saturday morning just in time to celebrate Brad's 40th birthday. Yes, I said 40 years old. Wow. Time is moving fast isn't it. We had a really nice time at the party and I think Brad enjoyed himself too.

No more crib

This was a bitter-sweet day. My little baby has decided that she no longer needs her crib. She hasn't slept in it in 3 weeks so today we decided it was time to take it down. It made me sad to think that this is it for babyhood for us but it made me happy to know that the crib will soon be used by a new little baby, my nephew or niece.

First outing of 2010

After lots of holiday activities, we settled down and enjoyed a day at the LA Arboretum. It has become one of our favorite outings. We can go for a few hours, enjoy the outdoors, feed the ducks and come home to relax. It doesn't take up your entire day. Tia Mary, Tia Lola and Nana joined us before they went back to Hanford.

Happy New Year 2010!

We woke up at walked to the corner to watch the Rose Parade. I enjoyed this year's parade more than last years. The floats were more majestic and the bands were great.
